I don't flash designs off a wall. Every project starts from scratch — a conversation about what you want to say, what you want to feel when you look at it. Coverups especially require patience and planning. I study the old work, design around it, sometimes lighten it first. The result has to be something you'd choose even if the old tattoo never existed.
Murals follow the same principle. A wall is a long-term commitment too. I work with clients to develop concepts that fit the space, the light, the mood they're going for.
